Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Combination Inputs Guide
Learn Throw, Dash, Guard Reversal, and Super combination inputs in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game with macro assignment tips.
Beyond the four primary buttons, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game features four combination inputs that execute critical defensive and offensive actions. Each can be assigned to a macro button, making them accessible on any controller type. Mastering these inputs separates players who understand the Flow System from those who rely solely on normals.
Throw (A + B)
Throws break blocking opponents at close range. They are essential against defensive players who hold Flow Stance or block excessively. During the Unbalanced state, all throws become Critical Throws with enhanced damage and properties—making throw recognition a core skill. Characters like Sokka may have unique throw animations reflecting their non-bender fighting style.
Dash (B + C)
The Dash input provides a quick burst of movement for repositioning, punishing whiffed attacks, and closing distance. Dash complements directional Flow techniques rather than replacing them—experienced players chain Dash into Flow routes for unpredictable approach angles.
Guard Reversal (C + Flow)
Guard Reversal is your primary answer to sustained pressure while blocking. Executed by pressing Heavy and Flow during blockstun, it launches a Flow-based counter that costs Chi. Timing guard reversals correctly prevents opponents from running unpunished block strings. Overuse drains your Chi Gauge quickly, so balance reversals with simply blocking and waiting for gaps.
Super (A + B + C)
The Super input activates your character's super art when sufficient Chakra is available. Supers deliver cinematic damage and can end rounds decisively—especially against Unbalanced opponents where True Chakra Arts win instantly. Learn your character's super requirements in their individual guide pages under Launch Roster.
Macro Setup Tips
Assign Throw and Dash to easily accessible buttons on your controller. Many players map Guard Reversal to a paddle or extra shoulder button since it requires precise block timing. Practice each input in Training Mode with the dummy set to "Always Block" before taking them online.
