How to Use Chakra and Super Arts
Earn and spend Chakra stocks for EX moves and True Chakra Arts in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.
Chakra is Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game's offensive meter, building through successful attacks and powering EX enhanced specials and cinematic supers. While Chi governs defense, Chakra rewards aggression. This guide covers Chakra generation, spending, and the devastating True Chakra Art finishers via the official Chakra 101 tutorial.
Building Chakra Efficiently
Every landed hit generates Chakra. Combo strings multiply generation—completing a full combo yields more Chakra than individual pokes. Heavy attacks build the most per hit but are slower and riskier. Find safe pokes that build Chakra without excessive recovery. Characters with long combo routes like Korra excel at Chakra generation through sustained offense.
EX Move Usage
EX moves consume one Chakra stock to enhance a special move. Use EX versions for combo extension, armor through opponent attacks, or improved hit properties. Do not hoard Chakra—EX moves mid-combo often deal more total damage than saving for a raw super. Study your character's EX variants in Training Mode. The Chakra Arts wiki page lists universal EX mechanics.
Super Activation
Activate supers with A+B+C when Chakra is full. Each character has a unique cinematic super. Time supers for maximum impact—when opponent health is low, when they are cornered, or when they enter Unbalanced for True Chakra Arts that end rounds instantly.
Chakra vs Chi Balance
Chakra and Chi operate independently but interact strategically. Aggressive Chakra building requires offensive commitment, which may leave you vulnerable to Flow defense. Conservative Chi play builds less Chakra. Find your character's optimal balance—rushdown characters like Azula prioritize Chakra, while zoners like Katara build Chakra through traps and counterhits.
