It is launch eve—July 22, 2026—with the global release less than 36 hours away on July 23. The July 20 Maximilian Dood stream confirmed Ozai, Avatar State Aang, and Nightmare Korra previews, and Steam now shows unlock in approximately two days. Use this archived guide to review pre-load steps and unlock times.

Launch Eve Checklist (July 22)
- Check your platform store for pre-load availability on digital pre-orders
- Watch the July 20 stream recap or Maximilian Dood Twitch VOD for Ozai and Avatar State previews
- Finalize your main and supports using the Support Picker
- Review pre-launch tier list assumptions before day-one ranked
Launch Countdown
- July 5, 2026: Closed beta concluded — community called Avatar Legends a surprise FGC favorite
- July 17, 2026: Zaheer reveal trailer — Red Lotus active combat assists confirmed
- July 20, 2026: Maximilian Dood stream — Ozai, Avatar State Aang, and Nightmare Korra first previews
- July 23, 2026: Global launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam
Day-One Checklist
- Complete the How to Play guide and watch embedded tutorial videos
- Learn the four-button layout in the Button Layout guide
- Understand Flow, Chi, and Chakra before entering ranked
- Pick a main from the launch roster and plan supports with the Support Picker
- Configure Training Mode with hitbox display and combo trials
- Review game modes — start with Arcade or Casual Online before Ranked
Recommended Study Order
New players: How to Play → Flow → Chi → pick a character guide → Support selection. Beta veterans: review the July 20 stream recap for Ozai and Avatar State fighter previews, then update your tier list assumptions.
Edition Reminder
Standard Edition ($29.99) includes all twelve launch fighters and every game mode. Deluxe Edition ($49.99) adds the Year 1 Pass with Bolin, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Iroh, and a fan-voted fifth fighter. Use the Edition Comparison tool if still deciding.
Post-Launch Content Preview
After launch, five Year 1 Pass fighters join the roster. Preview expected playstyles on the Year 1 DLC hub and vote for the fifth character via the fan vote if you pre-ordered.
